Collection process

The blood is collected, in a special sterile blood bag provided in the kit, from the umbilical cord soon after the birth of the child.  The whole process of blood collection takes less than 10 minutes. The collected sample will be placed in a protective bag inside the kit box. This in turn will be sent by courier to the banking facility in Nicosia, Cyprus. Therefore, parents need to enroll with Cordship well ahead of due date and receive the collection kit.
